Price types
Each service has a Price type field that tells customers and your AI Agent how to interpret the listed price.
Fixed
A set, non-negotiable price for the service. Use this when the cost is consistent regardless of the scope of work.
From
A starting price that may increase based on the scope of work discovered on-site. Use this for services where costs can vary.
Your AI Agent uses the price type to accurately communicate pricing to customers. A From price will be described as a starting cost, while a Fixed price is quoted as the exact amount.
Setting duration
Duration represents how long the service typically takes from start to finish. The dropdown offers increments from 15 minutes up to 12 hours. For jobs that span more than a single day, select Multiple days.
Up to 12 hours
Select any increment from 15 min to 12 hours. The scheduling system blocks exactly that window on the assigned team member's calendar.
Multiple days
Use this for services that span more than one day — large installations, multi-day projects, or extended on-site jobs. The exact dates and schedule are confirmed at the time of booking.
Scheduling accuracy
Setting an accurate duration is important. If the duration is too short, back-to-back appointments may overlap. If it's too long, you may block time unnecessarily. Your AI Agent also uses this value when quoting appointment windows to customers.
How pricing appears on invoices
Service price vs. product prices
The price you set here is for the service labor only. Any products linked to the service are priced separately — they appear as individual line items on the invoice when a technician selects them during the job.
When you generate an invoice from a completed appointment, the service price is pulled in automatically as the base line item. From there, you can adjust it or add additional charges before sending.
Next: Assign your team
With pricing set, the next step is assigning which team members are qualified to perform this service.
