Testing the Voice Agent before launch

How to verify the agent behaves correctly before it answers real customers.

Test the agent with a staging setup and safe test numbers before pointing real customers at it. Never test against real customer records.

What to test

Place calls that cover the situations your customers actually create so you see the agent's behavior end to end before launch.

  1. 1Book a new appointment and confirm it appears on your calendar.
  2. 2Reschedule and cancel an appointment and confirm the calendar and notifications update.
  3. 3Call after hours and confirm the agent offers to book or take a message.
  4. 4Ask for a human during hours and confirm the transfer connects.
  5. 5Ask about a membership and confirm the agent does not invent a benefit.
  6. 6Say something that sounds like an emergency and confirm the agent directs you to emergency services.

Verify the results

After each call, confirm the appointment, lead, and activity records match what you expect and that nothing was duplicated. When the behavior is correct on staging, point your live number at the production agent.

Good to know

Keep a short record of each test call and its outcome so you can confirm behavior after future settings changes.
