Dates, locations, and follow-up questions

Control the scope of an answer and refine it without starting over.

Good scope turns a broad business question into an answer you can act on. Perseus supports both a reporting period and the location selected in your NBOUND workspace.

Choose a reporting period

For report-style questions, use the date control to choose the period Perseus should analyze. The selected range is applied to relevant data and repeated in the report introduction so you know exactly what was measured.

You can also state a clear period in the question, such as today, this week, last month, or a specific date range.

Use location scope

When a location is selected, Perseus limits supported questions to that location. This is useful for branch-level staffing, appointments, inventory, and performance.

Switch to All Locations before requesting a cross-location comparison. Users with access to only one location continue to receive answers within that permitted scope.

Refine the answer in conversation

A conversation preserves context. After receiving an answer, ask Perseus to narrow it, compare it, explain a result, change the format, or turn it into a report.

Try asking

  • Only show urgent appointments.
  • Break that down by technician.
  • Compare it with the previous week.
  • Turn this into a report I can download.
