Import clients

Bring an existing customer list into NBOUND safely.

The client importer lets you migrate many customer records at once while reviewing field mappings before data is created.

Prepare or download a CSV

The importer accepts CSV files and provides a downloadable template. Use one client per row and keep first name and last name in separate columns when possible. Rows without either a first or last name are not imported.

  1. 1Remove blank rows and obvious duplicates.
  2. 2Keep phone numbers, postal codes, and apartment values as text so spreadsheet software does not alter them.
  3. 3Use clear headers for contact, address, classification, assignment, and notes fields.

Review automatic column matching

After upload, NBOUND reads the headers and attempts to map recognizable columns. Review every destination field against the first-row preview. Choose Do not import for columns you intentionally want to skip.

The mapped-field count shows how many destination fields are connected. You can go back, replace the file, or adjust mappings before import.

Import and handle results

Confirm & Import processes the valid name-bearing rows and displays the created count. If the import fails, the result screen provides Back to Mapping and Try Again actions so you can correct the mapping without rebuilding the file.

  1. 1Open Actions → Import Clients from the client list.
  2. 2Upload a CSV or use the template.
  3. 3Confirm the column mappings and preview.
  4. 4Select Confirm & Import.
  5. 5After success, return to Clients and spot-check names, phone numbers, and addresses.

Good to know

Import does not replace a duplicate-review process. Search several known phone numbers afterward to confirm the file did not create parallel customer records.
