Managing equipment

Learn how to record physical assets, track stock levels, and organize your equipment inventory.

Core Equipment Information

The Equipment module allows you to track all physical assets required for your business operations. Each piece of equipment is defined by its identity, internal identifiers, and financial value.

Equipment Management Interface

Equipment Name & Description

The name should be specific enough for team members to distinguish between different models or types of gear. The description field allows for detailed notes, serial numbers, or usage instructions.

SKU & Barcode

Use SKUs for internal tracking and Barcodes (UPC/EAN) for quick scanning and lookup. These identifiers ensure that your inventory remains accurate even across multiple locations.

Financials: Retail vs. Supply Price

Tracking the Supply Price allows the system to calculate your total asset value, while the Retail Price is used if you charge clients for the specialized use of specific equipment on a job site.

Stock & Inventory Control

Maintaining accurate stock levels is critical for business continuity. The system provides real-time tracking of units on hand and automated alerts when stock is running low.

Quantity on Hand

Reflects the total number of units currently available in your inventory. This is automatically updated when new items are added or manually adjusted.

Minimum Stock Level

The safety threshold. When your quantity drops to or below this level, the equipment will be tagged with a "Low Stock" status for immediate attention.

All inventory adjustments are logged, providing a clear history of equipment usage and replenishment cycles.

Search and Advanced Filtering

As your inventory grows, finding specific assets quickly becomes essential. The platform includes powerful search and filter utilities:

Global Search

Use the search bar to find equipment by Name, Barcode, or SKU instantly.

Stock Condition Filters

Filter your view to see only items that are In Stock, Low Stock, or completely Out of Stock. This is the fastest way to generate a reorder list.

Supplier Filtering

Isolate equipment by specific vendors to streamline your purchasing workflow and communication with suppliers.
