Tasks
Your organization's work queue — created by your team or automatically by NBOUND, with reminders that make sure nothing slips.
What Tasks are for
Tasks is your organization's operational work queue — anything the team must do that isn't itself an appointment: follow up with a customer, order a part, resolve a dispatch exception, chase an unpaid invoice. Tasks appear on the Tasks page and in the board on your main dashboard, beneath today's appointments.
Creating and assigning
Create a task with a title, optional description, due date, priority, and assignee. Owners see every task; managers and dispatchers see tasks for their assigned locations; technicians see tasks assigned to them. Assignees are notified when a task lands on them.
Task lifecycle
Tasks move through pending, in progress, blocked, completed, and cancelled. Completed and cancelled tasks can never become overdue. Reopening a task is an explicit action, and every change is recorded in the task's activity history.
Due dates, reminders, and overdue flags
Tasks with a due date get automatic reminders: one when the task is due soon, one on the day it's due, and one when it first becomes overdue — sent in the location's timezone as in-app notifications and email. Overdue tasks are flagged on the Tasks page and the dashboard board so nothing slips.
Tasks NBOUND creates for you
Some tasks are created automatically with full context attached: dispatch exceptions (a job about to start with no technician, a missed check-in), lead follow-ups from the CRM, and appointment follow-up items logged by technicians in the field. When the underlying issue resolves — for example the appointment is cancelled or the exception clears — the linked task completes itself.
Filtering and focus
Filter the Tasks page by status, assignee, source, due today, overdue, or My Tasks. Filters live in the URL, so a filtered view can be bookmarked or shared with a teammate.
